Why I'm taking part in RBC Race for the Kids
We are running in the Great Ormond Street Race for Kids in memory of my sister, Maya, who showed so much strength throughout her life.
She was born with a rare skin condition called Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) and needed specialist care from the incredible team at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
GOSH was there for her and our family every step of the way, offering not just expert treatment but also compassion and support.
Sadly, she passed away in 2013, but we’re grateful for the care she received, and we’re honoured to contribute to GOSH's continued work. Running this race is my way of keeping her memory alive and raising awareness of EB.

RBC Race for the Kids 2025
GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.
We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.
