Why I'm taking part in RBC Race for the Kids
To celebrate the short life of daughter and raise awareness and money to help support other children needing care at GOSH so that they have a chance to fight and thrive. Our daughter, Charley (born June 2010), was born with a tumor called a ganglioneuroblastoma. GOSH provided remarkable care to her. While Charley ultimately passed away due to complications caused by the tumor, we know that the few days we had with her were filled with loving and caring support from the people at GOSH. Her two little brothers and mom and dad will run as part of Charley’s Team to do what we can to make sure other kids have the same access to that care.
RBC Race for the Kids 2025
GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.
We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.
Please consider sponsoring me. Together, we can build it. Together, we can help beat childhood cancer.
